I finally got down to taking pictures of my layouts and posting them on photobucket! These 3 were done for a challenge on a forum I frequent, all feature Chelsea.

So, you guys will get to see them here!

Going to Australia.

Am going to Australia next month to see Canberra for the first time, and help DH look for a house for his stay there. We're going there without the kids, but I think they'll be ok without me for just a few days.

It's quite exciting on one hand, yet I do dread leaving the kids again. Well i guess I will have to make it up to them by spending more time with them before and after i go then.

If anyone has suggestions on how to find a nice place in Canberra or a good place to stay in while we're there, drop me a note!

Cheers

Relieved & productive

I'm back after a while. The past couple of weeks was rather hectic, because I didn't have a maid, but my new one arrived on Saturday, and fortunately the children seem to have taken to her quite ok, so I've left them alone this afternoon.

Cleared out lots of stuff from the old house yesterday, and I have to go back this afternoon to unpack them. Feels quite sad to leave the old house, after all, stayed there for rather long (7 years?) which more or less qualifies as the longest I've stayed in any house. Packing the stuff brings back memories, both good and bad, but nothing changes the fact that I lived through many things in that house!

Scrapping wise, I am glad to say I have been quite productive. Scrapped 4 or 5 layouts in the past week! On my to-do list, is to take pictures of them and post them. Then, spring clean the computer of the pictures. And classify them properly! I find a big hindrance to my scrapping is the lack of photos. Shall have to think about that one. Any suggestions?

On the personal front, I can't quite decide whether I should move to Canberra with Edwin the whole year. We're getting his senior to negotiate the rent for his current house (AUD270 a week for a 2-storey, 2 bedroom house) and hope it will remain the same. Rental is probably going to suck up all the allowance he's getting! It all sounds very exciting, yet I am concerned about finances and whether I can cope as a SAHM, without a maid or anyone to help me! I hope all this will fall into place eventually as the year end draws nearer.

We are also planning a holiday, where and when not yet decided. But at least it gives me something to look forward to! New photos to scrap also! :)

Till the next time....

Eve of Children's Day

It's the eve of Childrens' Day and I spent the morning ferrying the kids to and from school. Ryan got back late , only fetched him about 1.45pm but even then he was bouncing around although he fell asleep later while drinking milk.

While the kiddos are asleep (now), I am taking the opportunity to complete an LO (should it be 'a' LO? or an 'LO'. For the uninitiated, LO = layout , as in scrapbooking layout) which I started last night. I haven't scrapped in weeks so i did something simple to warm up. Quite happy with the result even though the title needs some modification.

Still hunting for a maid, and it's not easy. I have interviewed many university graduates and straight A scholars before but I cant get the interviewing of a junior high maid correct. Hmm. I hope I can find some good bio-dates this weekend!

Till the next post (and goodnews regarding the maid, i hope).

Back....

Am finally back from Bangkok and a week of hectic activity with some business partners. While it was mostly touring Bangkok, did manage to do some shopping (little!) and got my hair highlighted. Joining a tour also meant I found out a lot more about BKK than just MBK and Central Chidlom. My newest favourite haunt is Suan Lum Night Bazaar, great finds there !

On the way back, our flight SQ67 was delayed by 4.5 hours. So much for flying SQ. The delay I felt was badly managed. Finally reached back at around 12 midnight and elated to see my two kiddos still awake waiting for me at the airport! While a break was good (at least I got to watch KrisWorld uninterrupted), I really missed them!

Back home, more surprises awaited me. Felt like firing my maid, but was fired by her on Sunday night instead. Hahah. Well, at least that means I don't have to pay for her air ticket back. Was really mad with her at the agency. Really blew my top. But enough about that. Still thinking if I should get a new maid, or not. But Ryan's going to go to school for maybe 2-3 hours more each day starting Oct.

I still feel i need to recuperate. gotta go now...

Sleep...interrupted

I had a terrible night of sleep last night. Firstly, I was "so tired that I couldn't even sleep" (to quote from one of my favourite songs Runaway Train", then when I did, the 2 kids squeezed me relentlessly. Ryan relentlessly followed me everywhere, even when I thought he was in a deep sleep.

Now I feel like I need major recuperation. Chelsea & Aaron are now bickering over a set of clothes in the office which I changed Chelsea into cos she accidentally wet her uniform. They can never stop, really. I wonder when it will. 2 yrs, 5 yrs, 10 yrs down the road? I don't remember bickering with my cousins like that. Maybe like the taxi driver who drove me yesterday said, kids today are different from 20 yrs ago.

Gotta go, WHINING BEGINS!

Errands

Had a number of errands to run today; sending dh's car in for servicing (yes, it DID NOT get done yesterday), calling the lighting system guy to fix some lights in the house (the dining room lights COULD NOT be switched off last nite); settling last minute stuff for the office Singapore/Bangkok retreat starting this Sat, and the usual picking and sending of kids.

Chelsea has developed a rather bad cough with phlegm and I hope she gets better soon. They just seem to cross-infect each other. Hmm and Ryan has been battling with his runny nose for like the longest time.

Managed to scrap one page last nite, and one that i am happy with! Well you'll get to see it, once i get down to taking a pic of it and posting it here. haha.

I gotta go soon...pick up the car from servicing.... and later to supermarket to get stuff for the office retreat!!
